Rightio, as for piration and pirateing in general (yarrrr) I would recomend bittorrent for movies, large applications (probably not for you) and feature lenght porn films! (i can't last 90minutes but it means you can stop and continue the movie at a later stage and some of them even have plots!.. all revolving around having alot of sex of course)

Anyway yes, there be a site called torrents.to that'll search several torrent websites for what you want. I use an invite only torrent network which guarntees me great download speeds but means i have to upload (or seed) my files for about 9days on the trot.

Is it worth it?
My massive collection of porn-with-a-storyline says yes!

Too late now, i just ordered a new iPod. Change is frightening.

Apart from Soulseek, what other sites are good for downloading music and video files?

iRivers and iAudios both play videos. In it's infant stage, I think that the ability to play video is a bit of a gimmick. I'd imagine you should be able to transfer your iTunes library to one of them. I've never really used iTunes though so I don't know. I'm not much help but do a search on google. You're bound to find an answer.

So that's what a condom mongrel is...

Someone I know got an iRiver and it broke on the day she got it. Can any of those other mp3 players play videos? And would it be possible for me to transfer my whole iTunes music library onto one of them, or would I have to import my entire CD collection onto my computer again?

Thanks for the response.

Should you buy a case? For an iPod, yes.

Where can I download films for free? There's no one-word answer anymore, but if you can get yourself invited to an exclusive torrent site like Oink or BitMeTV then go for it. Assuming you can't, eMule is pretty ok, but your patience will be tried.

What about viruses? I don't even know what you're talking about. An mp3 can't have a virus in it, and an iPod can't get a virus anyway. (Yes, if you're really stupid you can fuck up the firmware by yourself, but that's not a virus. It's you.) You know you really should send this one into The Sunday Times for that guy Nigel to blather on about. Voiruses, scoff, scoff... Moving on.

Are Apple condom mongrels? Yes, they are the product of several would-be parents using the same condom until someone got pregnant.

What about alternatives? Personally, I think that iAudio make the best portable media players. They're nice looking, they've got 35 hour battery life (some of them) and they show up as a removable drive in Windows which is endlessly handy. This is also true of iRiver. They're really nice too. Creative players are only so-so. They have an iTunes like software called MediaSource which is the biggest headache for me, being a Zen owner. I won't even start on Sony. I still haven't forgiven them for all that atrac nonsense. So in short, I'd go for an iAudio or an iRiver.
