There’s a thoroughly excellent essay by fiction writer Martin Amis in today’s Observer. It’s essentially a robust attack on Islamism, and to a lesser extent Islam, from a liberal perspective. It’s very long for a newpaper piece, but it’s well worth reading. You can find it here, for the time being at least.
