New Year’s Resolution
Posted on January 1, 2007 - Filed Under Life-In-General |
I spent the early minutes of 2007 watching fireworks displays on Euronews by myself.
My new year’s resolution is to find better friends.

hell man, i wasnt even aware it was new year till my parents came in and interrupted the film i was watching… lol. New years is waaayyy overrated. btw, do you know what the deal is with our philosophy results for the essays/exams?
Fuck you. I take offense to this. You have to give as good as you get. And if you’re not willing to make any effort then why should anyone else. People can’t hold your hand and always come running to you. If you want better relationships with anyone you have to work too.
Anthony’s right, Cian. I was watching Podge and Rodge by myself… But then I went and stayed up til 8am playing charades with really cool people. I had to do the film “Philadelphia”. I failed.
But anyway, had you texted me or something you’d have been more than welcome to join me.
Make an effort, man!
As with most important occasions, I slept through the New Year celebrations. I also would like to know what the deal is with the philosophy results…
I consider it quite bad manners to invite myself along to things. If something’s planned and I’m not invited, I take it to mean that either my presence isn’t desired at the event or those organising it don’t think that I would enjoy it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with not extending invitations to me on either count.
This afternoon (before reading the comments here) I mooted the idea to about seven people of going drinking. Two responded, both declining. So much for making an effort.
I don’t know anything about the philosophy results. I expect we’ll just have to get them from the department when college resumes, assuming they’re even corrected.
For what it’s worth, I haven’t been out since October *and* I don’t drink. (the moral: it oculd be worse)
He’s right you know. Especially when *he’s* the case study example.
Seriously though, we all have down times. It’ll be gone before you know it. Yes, Jason is in cliche mode.
