There’s an explanation for Garry Trudeau’s depiction of President Bush as a floating helmet posted here on the Doonesbury section of Slate.
I had been pondering the exact meaning of it for some time.

Nice layout. Except there are some glitches. Like the text formatting above is kind of erratic (though that may just be the fault of the computer I’m using). Check out mine.
Formating is buggy and the posts don’t seem to be framed correctly for some reason. The title appears to be a few lines into the body and makes the whole thing look cluttered up. Other then that i like it and adds abit more profesionalism to the place.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I was using my Macbook earlier today when I selected it, but it looks terrible now that I’m on my home PC. It seems to only work when the screen is a certain size.
I think I’ll stick with it for the time being however; I’ve grown attached to it already.
