Halo 3

My brother and I bought Halo 3 within half an hour of its European launch at midnight last night, and yes, it was certainly worth staying up most of the night playing it, even though I feel like crap today. I pwned some n00bs and won a game too, which was a rare enough feat for me on Halo 2. I don’t know if Bungie (the developer) managed to smash Spider Man 3’s opening day box office record, but I hope they did, since the games kicks ass. The graphics are not spectacular (which isn’t to say the game doesn’t look great, but only that it could probably have looked better), and the 2-player split-screen is a disaster on our TV (there are massive, unhelpful black borders reducing the already-too-small visual area) but otherwise it’s excellent. In fact, early indications lead me to believe that it is the best video game released since Halo 2.
