Super Tuesday Party
Posted on January 29, 2008 - Filed Under American Politics, College, Life-In-General |
There is a decent to very good chance that one or both of the US 2008 presidential election candidates will be known by the early hours of Wednesday next week. Given that Barack Obama stands a great chance of becoming president should he prevail over the Clintons’ dirty tactics, February 5th (Super Tuesday, the day many of the biggest states hold their primaries) could be as momentous as the presidential election itself. Since this blog believes that an Obama presidency has the potential to be pretty damn awesome, and since I may find myself far from Cork come next November, I hereby propose that a Super Tuesday Party is in order.
Unfortunately, I still live at home, so I can’t very well invite lots of people over to view something that will definitely run well into the early hours of the morning. So does anyone know of a place with just the right mix of Fox News/CNBC (CNN coverage sucks), absence of noise limits, and other conditions conducive to a decent student party?
And if the Clintons win we can all get drunk to make ourselves feel better, or, more likely (and more appropriately), worse.

Yes it does Liam, lol, I hope you have some famous sunglasses.
Also, where are you going to be in November?
I don’t know where I’ll be in November; I could be here or I might be abroad.
Liam’s house sounds preferable to an A & E department, at least to me.
