Stupid Waste of Time

Posted on January 23, 2008 - Filed Under Life-In-General | 3 Comments

I wanted grey hair, so I lightened my dyed-black hair three times. I was then informed that grey hair was not really a possibility for me, so I tried dying my hair black again, first with henna (which has never worked for me before, and didn’t work this time either), and then with a red-black [...]

Democratic Debate in South Carolina

I didn’t see it, but it seems like it was quite a heated affair.

BBC Report.
I really can’t stand Hilary any longer. I’d much rather see Obama, McCain, Romney or Edwards win the presidency.

EA to Introduce Ad-Funded Games

The game publisher Electronic Arts, which is notorious for making lots of money through selling generally quite average titles, is planning to release a free online Battlefield game that will be supported by advertising revenues. Good idea, or just the latest step in EA quest to ruin video games?

It’s Rag Week on campus, so I invite any UCC-based readers to join me in the New Bar on Campus at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. If this is to be my last year in college then I intend to make the most of it.

Mitt Romney 2012

He may be a spineless panderer, a liar, a hypocrite, a flip-flopper, a self-defined social conservative, and an apologist for torture, but he’s still better than the other Republican nominees (save for McCain) and Hilary Clinton. In the event of Hilary Clinton winning the Democratic nomination, then a McCain-Romney Republican ticket would appeal to me. [...]

The Terrible Thing About Blogging

Posted on January 19, 2008 - Filed Under Blogging | 1 Comment

Blogs are like online journals, with the important difference that everyone can read blogs, whereas journals are typically only read by their owners. However, once you start blogging after having kept journals of some description previously, then there’s a natural tendency to write about much the same stuff in both. This becomes a problem when [...]

What To Do

Posted on January 19, 2008 - Filed Under College, Life-In-General | 3 Comments

I’ll be graduating from UCC this year, hopefully with a 1.1 in Arts. I like the two subjects I’m studying, Politics and Philosophy, but I don’t know if there’s much point in doing a post-grad in either, beyond prolonging my stay in college. What the hell should I do?
So far I’ve vaguely considered the following:
1. [...]

Conspiracy Nut Posts a Comment

It’s under the ‘Neoconservatism Explained’ post, and is probably the work of some sort of spambot that posts comments on blog posts where the word “neoconservatism” is used a lot (initially my comment filter had marked it as spam). Still though, some poor, delusional fool must have written it in the first place.
