Plan of Campaign

I have two essays due for Friday and all I’ve written is the introduction to one of them. I ought to feel about as calm as Bucket Seal.
Fortunately I have a plan, although it pretty much amounts to fraud. Basically, I’m going to hand in one of the essays on Monday (along with yet another that I have to do for that day) and say that the department was closed when I showed up late to hand it in on Friday. The fact that I’ve announced this cunning chicanery in advance of its execution only makes it all the more delicious.
At a deep ethical level I’m utterly ashamed of this knavery, but on another more practical level I frankly don’t care, and if anything I’ll take a certain satisfaction in putting one over the philosophy department. Not that anyone will notice or give a damn anyway…
