Killing Kangaroos
Posted on March 13, 2008 - Filed Under Animals |

Animal rights activists in Australia say they will try to prevent the planned killing of more than 400 kangaroos.
Contractors are preparing to cull the animals on a former naval site in Canberra, after the new government rejected a proposal to relocate them.
The plan is to shoot some 400 kangaroos with tranquiliser darts and then to administer lethal injections.
Why not just move them elsewhere? I’d be more than willing to take them in as pets if I lived in Australia and owned a large ranch.

I’d like to know what makes this a ’special case’if millions of them are killed every year…
And Cian, unless your a very rich farmer, your not going to want to become responsible for animals you can’t sell for breeding or food…
I bet they could be domesticated and sold as pets. Lots of people in Europe and the States would be willing to pay plenty of money for a pet roo.
