I should not listen to other people’s advice; it leads to regrets.
Or rather, in the circumstances alluded to it did.
Also, I desperately want to be more like will henceforth be more like Raskolnikov.
Also, I am going to fail all my Christmas exams unless I get my shit together in a big way.

My first diagnosis

I’m pretty sure my vegetarianism has lead to sideropenia (iron deficiency). I’m displaying all the symptoms, except for pica.
Update: I wonder how much of my recent behaviour this could explain. It could certainly account for my lethargy, but the weird dreams about half-completed killer robots (controlled by the brains of maladjusted canines) ceaselessly chasing me [...]

This is just sad. What astounding ignorance. There are still some decent McCain supporters, but more and more his campaign is coming to resemble an angry mob straight out of Hicksville, USA. These people are a disgrace to themselves and their country.

Oliver Stone’s biopic of the US president isn’t being released here until the 7th of November. That’s really annoying, and very bad business too, since Irish interest in US politics will have sagged considerably by that date. Still, I can’t wait for it.

Nothing has driven home the fact that I have a problem with alcohol quite like video evidence of actions that my memory had blacked-out. Just to clarify right out the gate, I’m certainly not an alcoholic, and I’m certainly not dependent on alcohol. However, I am far too prone to getting seriously drunk when I [...]

In addition, there will be various food options on campus.
The words “various food options” should never run together like that. It’s just wrong, and a grave affront to the English language.

I have no time at all for McDonalds and their godawful food, but this latest action by Chavez just makes him look like a big baby.

What’s the matter with Austria?

The latest shenanigans from the birthplace of Adolf Hitler:
An Austrian man has been arrested on suspicion of burning his in-laws to death with a home-made flame-thrower.
Police said the 48-year-old used a propane gas container to torch the elderly couple as they lay in bed in the village of St Magdalena am Lemberg.
I’ve been there many [...]
