Oxegen Is Poison

I’m on record as saying that I don’t like the Oxegen festival, but looking at the festival website a few minutes ago made me wonder: do people even go to it to hear music? I don’t mean that in the sense of ‘oh dear god, every band playing there is shit’, I just mean that for a music event it’s remarkably sparse on detail as to when and where certain music will be played. For instance, if I was planning to go see Nine Inch Nails there, I’d still have no way of knowing what day they’re playing if I relied on the Oxegen site for my information. Seemingly the organisers think the crowds that show up on any given day aren’t going to be all too pushed about what band is playing in the background as they get drunk.
