Taking Back Sunday

For the past few years I’ve been a little embarrassed about liking this band, but there are some damn fine tunes on the new album. ‘Summer, Man’ is particularly delicious. It’s not the greatest album ever released, but it crackles and sparks in the right places and it’s overall very listenable. Perfect summer driving music. Their drummer seems to have improved a lot too. Good show all-round.

Why are you embarrassed to like them?
I love ‘Taking Back Sunday’, it’s an awesome band.
Adam Lazzara hams up his vocals too much sometimes, and many of their songs just aren’t very good. They really went downhill after John Nolan left. Having said that, I still have all their albums loaded onto my iPod, so it’s not like I don’t like the band.
