The original bass play Jerry Only won a protracted legal battle with Danzig to carry on performing as 'The Misfits', but the post-Danzig Misfits have always kind of sucked. Yesterday I heard that Only used to wrestle on ECW for a while so I looked that up on YouTube and this is what I found. Essentially, I see the clip as further evidence of Only dragging the reputation of 'The Misfits', one of the most influential punk bands ever, through even more dirt. Put it like this: Imagine if James Iha somehow won the rights to carry on performing under the name 'The Smashing Pumpkins' after Billy Corgan had formed Zwan. Imagine if he then made some mediocre albums, and then, to round things off, joined the WWE as a wrestling incarnation of 'The Smashing Pumpkins'. That would probably make Billy Corgan's eponymous release and his work with Zwan look better than they really were.
