Good Riddance To Sarah Palin

She’s resigned the governorship of Alaska, and the word is that she’s planning on staying out of politics for good. She never struck me as being particularly evil, but she did seem particularly uninformed and just way out of her depth on the national stage, so I hope this for real, and not some hairbrained publicity stunt intended to relaunch her presidential aspirations.

Well, I hadn’t heard anything about her staying out of politics, and unfortunately this is probably just a ploy for her to hang around Washington and build up her profile there. If such a thing is possible for her.
I don’t understand why people are saying this could be a precursor to a 2012 run. This takes her out of the spotlight and out of a governing job so I hardly see how it could help her chances.
She’s now free to run around the other 48 states making speeches, holding fundraisers etc. It may not be the best strategy, but it’s a strategy.
